Born and raised here in Southern California. Dr. Eddie  experienced a wide variety of activities during his youth. From an early age sports have played a huge role throughout his life and continue to influence his career and social life today.

Dr. Eddie attended St. Francis High School in La Canada where he was a multiple sport athlete. After his graduation, he continued his athletic career and attended Pierce College where he played collegiate Volleyball. In 2000, Dr. Eddie helped his team win the State Championship.

After Pierce, Dr. Eddie continued his education at Cal State Northridge graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, emphasizing in Exercise Science. He then went on and earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Southern California University of Health Science where he graduated Cum Laude. Since his graduation he has continued his education receiving certifications as a CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), ART (Active Release Technique) in Spine and Upper Extremity, FMS (Functional Movement Screen), and completed an additional year of training in Sports Medicine earning Dr. Eddie his CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician). Dr. Eddie’s endless quest for knowledge has resulted in an additional two years of Sports Medicine training and now is a Board-Certified Sports Practitioner through the ACBSP (American Chiropractic Board of Sports Practitioners).

Dr. Eddie also takes an active role in his community. Volunteering for the medical staff for multiple charity sporting events, FIVB and AVP volleyball event, and for a number of youth sporting events. He coached volleyball for the Santa Monica Beach Club for both the girls and boys teams, and was the head coach for the Pierce College men’s volleyball program, where in 2007 he coached his team to a co-conference championship and a third place in state. For his efforts he was awarded California Junior College Coach of the Year for 2007.

Through Dr. Eddie’s advanced Sports Medicine training, he has been named as an official medical provider for the US National Field Hockey Team, the US National Archery Team, and the US National Beach Volleyball Teams. Dr. Eddie travels internationally to tournaments to provide medical support for our nation’s most elite athletes.

In addition to volleyball, Dr. Eddie is an avid outdoors man and surfer. His fierce competitive spirit and passion for sports is matched only by his enthusiasm for the outdoors, which was sparked at a young age as a Boy Scout. Dr. Eddie is married to his wife Angela and they are blessed with two children, Olivia and Jaxon. They live locally in Thousand Oaks.

Dr. Beau brings with him over 15 years of hands-on experience in Sports Medicine. Dr. Beau is a co-founder of Body Dynamix Integrated Sports Medicine that will be partnering with Sports Academy by providing all of our medical services in-house.

 

Dr. Beau is originally from Houston, Texas. After playing just about every sport as a young athlete, Dr. Beau found volleyball late in high school and truly excelled at the “not so common” sport to Texas. During the summer post high school, Beau was faced with the decision to either follow his dream of playing competitive volleyball in college or attend engineering school at University of Texas. With the trigger pulled on pursuing his dream, Beau won a State Championship at Pierce College in 2000 and then transferred to Pepperdine University. At Pepperdine Dr. Beau was named First Team All-American and graduated with a degree in Sports Medicine. After Pepperdine, rather than pursuing a professional volleyball career overseas, Dr. Beau decided to attend Southern California University of Health Science to obtain his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine.

 

In 2016, Dr. Beau was named the Los Angeles Rams Football team’s chiropractor. He has the opportunity to travel with the team and provide crucial chiropractic services to the players. During the 2018 season, Dr. Beau was a critical part of the NFC Championship team, and the Rams Super Bowl appearance.

 

Dr. Beau is an active surfer, backpacker, and Standup surfer. He lives in the Thousand Oaks area with his wife Dr. Alexis and his two children Ryker and Maddox.

Dr. Tyler Slamans, DC, CSCS

Doctor of Chiropractic

Tyler graduated from Western Illinois University (WIU) with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. While completing his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Logan University, he also completed his Master’s in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. Tyler holds his CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) certification from the National Strength and Condition Association. He has taken multiple continuing education courses and certifications such as ART (Active Release Technique), SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment), MDT (McKenzie Method, Diagnosis and Therapy), Rock Tape, Altis – Performance Therapy Course, and multiple other rehabilitation systems.

From an early age, Tyler was a multi-sport athlete through high school before he went on to play Division I football at Western Illinois. Tyler’s sports career was unfortunately plagued by injuries that resulted in 5 surgeries, but this ultimately fueled his passion to pursue the medical field and help other athletes navigate the rehabilitation process.

After finishing his last season playing football in 2018, Tyler was committed to expanding his knowledge of strength & conditioning and sports performance to better transition his patients back to their respective sport. He landed internships with the strength and conditioning football staff at WIU in the Spring 2018 and Acceleration Sports Performance located in Naperville, IL in the Summer 2018. Tyler continued on to coach at Elite Performance Academy in Chesterfield, MO where he was the Director of High School Football Performance and founder of Elite Breakfast Club. In the Spring of 2021, Tyler joined Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks as an intern while he finished out his master’s and chiropractic degrees.

Tyler was born outside of Chicago in the west suburbs where most of his family still resides. Although Midwest kids at heart, Tyler and his fiancé made the big move to southern California in 2021 and are enjoying their new home in Camarillo. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his fiancé, Arianna, and their fluffy dog, Deacon. He considers himself a black coffee connoisseur and an avid foodie.

Dr. Kaitlyn Lester, DC, CCSP

Dr. Kait is a Chiropractic practitioner in the medical clinic (Body Dynamix). After interning there during her last year of college, she joined the clinic, where she found her home away from home. She also is an assistance coach for the girls’ volleyball club at Sports Academy as well as working with Youth Membership volleyball.

 

Kait studied Kinesiology at Cal State Fullerton as an undergraduate, with the original intention of becoming an athletic trainer. After working extensively with athletic trainers at the local high schools, she decided that she could best serve her commitment to helping athletes who are recovering from injury by becoming a chiropractor. She graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences as a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. During her time at SCUHS, she volunteered at many high school football games as part of the sideline medical staff. She was also able to participate in the college’s beach volleyball team, participating in an all-Chiropractic college competition in Florida. Kait is currently studying to complete her Certified Chiropractic Sports Med physician certification and also working on her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification.

 

Kait is a native of Orange, California. She participated in many sports growing up, including gymnastics and swim, but found her real passion when she started playing volleyball, where she played at Villa Park High School as well as club. The end of her senior year she suffered a severe concussion. This injury put an end to her dream of playing in college due to an extended recovery period. This experience plus the many other injuries she suffered from, made her even more determined to help other athletes with injuries recover, so that they would not have to suffer the same fate. She has found that coaching has brought her back to the game she loves. She is a big fan of professional football and hockey and loves to attend games whenever she can. She enjoys painting, days at the beach, and is a huge Disney fan, Baymax being her favorite character because she also wants to be your Certified Healthcare Companion.

Dr. Sarah Allen, DC, CCSP

Doctor of Chiropractic

Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician

Sarah is a Chiropractic clinician in the ISM department, treating all age ranges. She specializes in active rehabilitation, using movement and exercise as a means to help her patients adapt and prepare for the demands of every day life and to feel confident to move in their bodies with or without pain.

Sarah first learned about human movement through her bachelors degree at Penn State. She graduated from the honors college with a degree in Kinesiology and has built on that foundational education ever since. She took that knowledge to her internship with the strength and conditioning department at the University of Connecticut. There she spent her time watching programming come to life for the woman’s volleyball, soccer, and mens hockey team. After her east coast experiences she made the cross country move to Southern California. Here is where she attended Southern California University of Heath sciences and obtained her Doctorate of Chiropractic with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. During her time in school she wanted to expand her knowledge of fitness so in March of 2021 she decided to dive into the world of weightlifting where she obtained her Level 1 USA Weightlifting Coach certification. She trained at So Cal Weightlifting for a year learning how to perform and coach the three olympic lifts. After her time at So Cal Weightlifting she was introduced to Crossfit and has been coaching and participating ever since. Currently, she is completing coursework for the Certified Chiropractic Sport Physician (CCSP) certification.

Sarah is East Coast made, being born in the Springfield area of Massachusetts but growing up mostly in Connecticut. There she learned how to play basketball, gymnastics, softball, and even had a dancing phase at one point. Despite her height, she chose to commit to basketball as her sport playing all through high school and competitive AAU for 4 years. After high school she spent her undergraduate years at Penn State focusing on academics but watching almost every single Penn State football game. She then made the cross-country move out to Southern California to attend chiropractic school and take advantage of the sunshine. She continues to stay diversely active with crossfit, weightlifting, yoga, spin, kickboxing, and hiking. She also loves to keep her brain active with puzzles and reading books, Oh The Places You’ll Go by Dr. Suess being her favorite.

Dr. Brock Dudley, DC

Dr. Brock Dudley received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Logan University in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Brock has in depth training and education in athletic needs as well as musculoskeletal conditions. While enrolled in his Doctorate program he also completed his Master’s degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Dixie State University in St. George, Utah. Dr. Brock has continued his educational pursuit and holds many certifications such as ART (Active Release Technique), SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment), Cox-Flexion Distraction and many others that have fueled him with the skill required for athletes and people of all ages. Dr. Brock understands that injuries can happen in many different aspects of life whether that be sports or just everyday wear and tear and is he equipped to care for all scenarios.

Dr. Brock’s enthusiasm and passion to blend health and performance has led him on a relentless pursuit to continuously sharpen his craft. Dr. Brock has spent time with and learned from some of the top Chiropractors in the nation who work with teams in the NFL, MLB, NBA, and USA Olympics. He has trained and treated athletes that are currently playing in their respective professional leagues. Brock continues to blend the skill of optimizing his athlete’s performance as well as their health by utilizing the benefits of Chiropractic prehab and rehab into their personalized and individualized training and or treatment programs.

Not only does Dr. Brock treat athletes for their musculoskeletal injuries in the chiropractic realm, but his dynamic background has also equipped him with the skill set to be a performance coach. At Sports Academy Dr. Brock is training multiple elite club teams where many of his athletes will be looking to move on and start their collegiate careers.

Growing up Brock found a passion playing sports (Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, and Football) and was surrounded in competition. He became a multi-sport athlete during high school playing both Baseball, and Football. Brock continued his baseball dream and played at the collegiate level in San Luis Obispo until he suffered an injury that ended his pitching career. This opened new opportunities and introduced him to Chiropractic care and the benefits it can have on an athlete’s ability to return to optimal health. Brock’s injury is what ignited a desire to help as many people as he could to reach their potential, while also allowing them to chase their goals at the professional level, collegiate level, or just remaining active for everyday life.

Brock was raised in Temecula, California and after experiencing life outside of California while pursuing his education, he has landed back on the West Coast, where he and his wife are loving being able to call the Thousand Oaks area home. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Karlie. They love outdoor activities and watching sports together. They both love trying new food spots, and spending time with their family.
